During some down time while traveling about a week ago, I hopped on twitter to read my news feed and came across a tweet (that has since been deleted) from Erykah Badu (@FatBellyBella) that advised ladies to drink raw, organic, cold-pressed cranberry juice if they wanted the vagina to taste sweet. This immediately brought me back to last summer when everyone was on that “diced pineapples” ish trying to “taste the best” thanks to Rick Ross. My second thought was about all the men that fell and continue to fall at Miss Badu’s feet. Her stuff must taste like candy. I know y’all remember how she had rapper Common, dressing like this. I immediately called my friend to get a few laughs in and we decided we were going buy some raw, organic, cold-pressed cranberry juice and try out Erykah’s theory.
My friend and I went to our local health food store and bought a few bottles. It was a little pricey at $11.99 for 32 ounces. We immediately popped the tops on those bottles and drank two, 8 ounce glasses everyday for a week. First off, it’s an acquired taste. My friend thinks it tastes horrible but I don’t think it’s too bad. I just held my breath and chug-a-lugged.
About a week in, I hadn’t tested Erykah’s theory because of my work schedule and being in multiple cities during the week. While sitting in the airport again, my girlfriend called and said, “Girl, I think that cranberry juice is working!!!” I asked her what she meant and she described the evening she had spent with her man the previous night. My girlfriend said her man was “downtown” and when he finally came up he said, “Baby, you taste different.” My friend asked her man to describe what he meant and he said he couldn’t put his finger on it but it (her vagina) tasted sweeter and it was wetter. I literally busted out in tears!
Miss Badu might be on to something with the cranberry juice. Cranberry contains acid that helps break down bad bacteria in the vagina and prevent infection. Also, certain juices or foods can alter the taste of vagina. I read that whatever will make your breath taste good will make your vag taste good! Saliva keeps your mouth clean and vaginal secretions are similar and keep the vagina clean. I still haven’t tested this out, but I am still drinking my cranberry juice daily and so is my girlfriend! One of my favorite people on twitter (@DragonflyJonez) summed up his theory on the vagina:
Have you run to the store to buy your raw, organic, cold-pressed cranberry juice yet?
