That’s Baller: Bottega Veneta Debuts Leather Grocery Bag For $2,500

Bottega Veneta wants you to be a bit stylish on your next store run, which is why they’ve debuted a brown grocery bag with a posh new spin.

Its new Brown Bag is a nearly identical rendition of the classic brown paper bag you’d get in your local supermarket. However, Bottega uses calfskin leather for its offering. Staying true to the design, the brand features a paper-like effect. Even the handles are thin, like the disposable version, but their leather wrapping makes them extremely sturdy. This gender-neutral bag only comes in a deep tan.

This single-compartment handbag is simple, sporting no emblems or any other indication that it’s even a selection from this luxury powerhouse. The only exception is the designer’s name scribed near the bottom in small light gold letters that nearly blend into the leather. The naked eye will likely assume anyone wearing this bag was fresh from a grocery shopping trip. This is the goal as Bottega takes on the simplistic approach as many other high-end companies have in recent years. 

Buyers opting for the medium size can prepare to spend $2,500 on this shopper. For those who fancy something a bit more compact, the smaller version is available for $1,900.
