A now-viral video captured a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen employee destroying a Chicago location after he allegedly received no pay for a month.
TikTok user Sarah (@itsrah26) posted the video on Tuesday, which has been viewed more than 200,000 times.
The video shows an employee opening bags of chicken and dumping them on the floor. It next shows him doing the same with boxes of french fries.
“This is what happens when you don’t get paid for a month,” the user captioned the video.
The video shows the aftermath, panning over the stockroom with food totally covering the floor, shelving units on their sides, and open boxes.
In addition to destroying the restaurant’s back room, the unidentified employee seemingly looted the cash register on the way out. “At least he got his money,” the video says.
The last shot shows someone speaking to a police officer. A Chicago Police truck can be seen in the background.
