Boxer Deontay Wilder had two lethal weapons in his possession on Tuesday, his hands and allegedly a firearm. But he was arrested and charged for the latter.

Wilder was arrested and charged with possessing a concealed firearm Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The charge is considered a felony.

Wilder, 37, was taken into custody around 12:50 a.m. in Hollywood, California after officers allegedly noticed his Rolls-Royce had illegally tinted windows and an obstructed license plate.

Responding officers claimed they smelled marijuana from the car during the stop and searched it, which led to the discovery of allegedly finding an unspecified amount of marijuana and a 9- millimeter gun. Wilder was reportedly cooperative and was taken to jail, AOL Sports reported.

He bonded out later that morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“I’d rather be safe than sorry,” Wilder tweeted after his arrest. “The End.”

Wilder held the WBC heavyweight title from 2015 to 2020 and defended his title 10 times, USA Today reported.
