Former Dallas Cowboy Josh Brent Released From Jail

Former Dallas Cowboy, Josh Brent was released from jail on Sunday after serving time on an intoxication manslaughter charge that killed his friend and fellow team mate, Jerry Brown . To refresh your memory, back in December 2012 Josh Brent, Jerry Brown and friends were partying at Dallas hotspot Prive Nightclub. After the club, Police say Brent and his passenger (Brown) left. Reports say Brent was driving his car at a high rate of speed at 2:21 am when he hit the outside curb on Route 114, causing the vehicle to flip at least once and then come to rest in the middle of a service road. An eye witness stopped after noticing the crash and noticed Brent had already exited the mangled vehicle and was walking around while Brown remained in the vehicle. Tests later showed Brent to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.18 percent, more than twice the legal limit for drivers in Texas. Brent was found guilty of intoxication manslaughter in January 2014 and was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 10 years’ probation.

As if having your best friend die in your hands isn’t enough, I hope jail has really taught him a lesson. Don’t drink and drive.
