C-Murder is making a significant effort to regain his freedom by seeking the assistance and aid of attorney Ben Crump and the President of the NAACP in Baton Rouge.

Last week, the chapter showed their support for the ex-No Limit Records rapper by releasing a statement, which was posted on C-Murder’s Instagram page. As per the statement, the NAACP has been collaborating with C-Murder’s publicist, Lisa Jackson, and his manager, Steven Johnson, in their efforts towards justice and equality. Additionally, attorneys Ben Crump and Ronald Haley have joined C-Murder’s cause.

“The NAACP Louisiana State Conference is proud to announce that Eugene Collins, President of the NAACP Baton Rouge Branch, will be taking on a special assignment and joining Corey Miller’s team in advocating for his innocence. President Collins will be working with FFO Investigations, led by Ms. Kasandra Washington,” the statement begins.

“We urge the public and the justice system to take a closer look at the evidence and give Corey Miller the fair trial that he deserves. We believe that justice will prevail and that Corey Miller will be exonerated.”

The statement continued, “we will continue to work tirelessly to support Corey Miller’s legal team and raise awareness about his case. We appreciate your support and ask that you join us in advocating for justice and equality for all.”

Nevertheless, C-Murder’s recent endeavor follows his hunger strike protest. The rapper went on strike to bring awareness against the Louisiana penal system’s “inhumane” conditions.

“It is imperative, NOW MORE THAN EVER, that a quick strategic move is made as my health has significantly declined due to the prison system’s inhumane conditions and I am not getting proper medical treatment,” he said. “This has taking a major toll on me but I refuse to give up. Please Stand with me.”
