LSU women’s star basketball player Flau’jae Johnson caught some unwanted attention after releasing a rap video that referenced the 9/11 tragedy.

The video has been taken down.

Johnson’s released a cover of Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor.” In the song, she gives a shout out to LSU’s new team member, Hailey Van Lith, and rapped about the goal to win back-to-back championships.

But what made people angry was her 9/11 reference: “In this 911, blowing smoke just like them towers.”

The star basketball posted the video on Twitter but it was deleted Tuesday night, Fox News learned from a statement made by the school.

“We spoke with Flau’jae this evening, and while she never intended to offend or upset anyone with her lyrics, she expressed sincere remorse for any possibility of a misunderstanding and immediately took the video down,” LSU said. “We will learn and grow from this experience together.”

Johnson, 19, has not made a statement publicly after taking her post down.

Johnson began rapping in middle school and landed a distribution deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation label in 2020.

Johnson also appeared on “America’s Got Talent” in 2018 when she was 14 years old and received a golden buzzer from the judges.
