On Monday, FOX announced that Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx will be hosting a new musical game show called ‘We Are Family’ next year.
The announcement comes after Corinne Foxx shared that her father had been released from the hospital after experiencing a “medical complication.”
“In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!” she wrote Friday. “We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too,” she added, referring to their new tv show.
During each episode of the music guessing game, a celebrity will be accompanied by a non-celebrity relative. However, the featured star will remain anonymous until their identity can be revealed.
There will be hints provided, much like The Masked Singer, to assist in identifying each celebrity.
The studio audience will have a chance to win $100,000 if they correctly guess the answer to the clues to identify the celebrity.
“We are thrilled to be developing We Are Family with Jeff Apploff and our friends at FOX Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of Beat Shazam,” Jamie, 55, and Corinne, 29, said in a joint statement. “We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”
Previously, the father-daughter duo hosted FOX’s Beat Shazam show, where contestants have to guess a song correctly to add money to their prize pot.
