Donald Trump has been hit with a cease and desist after he hired a group of impersonators to perform the Village People’s hit song “Macho Man.”

Trump received the letter from the wife of lead singer Victor Willis, who demanded that the former president not use impersonators to perform any of the group’s songs.

According to Willis’ wife, the Village People never gave Trump permission to use their image or likeliness at his event and now people believe that the group is endorsing his presidential campaign, which they aren’t.

While Willis has tolerated Trump using his music in the past, this new incident has put them over the edge.

Trump will be hit with a lawsuit if he doesn’t agree to the group’s demands, Willis said.

Trump’s attorney Joe Tacopina told TMZ, “I will only deal with the attorney of the Village People, if they have one, not the wife of one of the members. But they should be thankful that President Trump allowed them to get their name back in the press. I haven’t heard their name in decades. Glad to hear they are still around.”

Last month, Trump hosted a party at Mar-a-Lago where he had impersonators dressed like the Village People and dancing poolside.

This isn’t the first time Trump was hit with similar threats.

Last November, the official account for Isaac Hayes tweeted, “We are exploring multiple legal options to stop this unauthorized use,” after Trump launched his presidential campaign with the Sam & Dave song “Hold On, I’m Coming.”
