Yo Gotti is offering $2 million to any lawyer who can secure 42 Dugg‘s release from prison.
During his 42nd celebration, the Memphis rapper took a moment to address the status of his imprisoned CMG artist. Gotti expressed that he is offering a substantial sum of money to secure Dugg’s prison release.
“I got 2 million for any lawyer that can get Dugg out early!!” he wrote on his Instagram Stories. “Thanks what I want for my birthday. #FreeDoggy.”
Gotti’s statement came just shortly after Dugg made distressing claims of a late-night cell raid by prison guards. The raid allegedly occurred a few hours after he pleaded for the assistance of a skilled attorney to help his case.
“They raided my sh*t last night, man at 3 am lol they taken me to war,” he wrote on Instagram. “I need johnny cochran lil cousin or sumn its on the flow in this b*tch.”
At the beginning of the week, Dugg candidly spoke about the challenging circumstances he is experiencing behind bars. In his statement, the rapper gave some insight into the conditions he faces in prison and the treatment he receives from officers.
“I supposed to had court today for ah old case,” Dugg said. “The us marshals then told the jail dont let me on zoom to handle the case so I can’t possibly go to the halfway house. Bruh these muthaf*ckas been sending all kinda guards to talk to me seeing if ima ask for something the cr*zy thing is they putting me on game.”
In April, Dugg received a one-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to prison evasion. Alongside this sentence, he is also required to serve three years under supervised release, pay a $20,000 fine, and adhere to abstaining from illegal drug use.
