Daniel Penny Says He Cannot Be Racist Because He Was “Planning A Road Trip Through Africa” Before Jordan Neely’s Murder

Daniel Penny, the man responsible for the death of Jordan Neely, claims that he is not racist because he is planning a “road trip through Africa.” Penny recently spoke with the New York Post, asserting that the incident had “nothing to do with race.” He further defended himself by presenting evidence of his alleged lack of racism.

Penny stated, “It’s a little bit comical, I mean.  Everybody who has ever met me can attest that I love all people and cultures.  My past and extensive travels around the world serve as proof.  In fact, I was in the midst of planning a road trip through Africa before this tragic event occurred.”

Expressing his sorrow over the loss of life, Penny said, “I am deeply saddened by what happened to him.  It is a tragic incident.  Hopefully, we can work towards reforming a system that has failed us so terribly.”

When asked about his remorse for his actions towards Neely, Penny responded, “I don’t.  I always act based on what I believe is right.”

On May 1st, the police reported that a 30-year-old homeless man named Jordan Neely was fatally strangled on a northbound F train at around 2:30 p.m. Witnesses claim that Neely began behaving erratically and harassing fellow passengers, leading Penny to intervene.  Video footage captured the 24-year-old former Marine applying a chokehold that resulted in Neely’s death.  Penny was subsequently arrested but released on $100,000 bail.  He now faces charges of second-degree manslaughter.
