Krispy Kreme is honoring graduates with free donuts for the fourth year in a row.
On Wednesday, May 24, the company will give a dozen original glazed donuts to high school and college seniors wearing clothing from the class of 2023.
According to the donut chain, Students dressed appropriately for school, whether it be a school T-shirt or a full graduation cap and gown, can receive their baked goods in a unique “dough-diploma-wrapped box.”
The kind gesture was first offered by Krispy Kreme in 2020 when students were prevented from participating in their regular graduation ceremonies as a result of COVID-19.
After receiving a resounding positive response, the company has continued to offer it every year since.
Dave Skena, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a press release, “We haven’t forgotten that the lives of this year’s graduates were heavily impacted by the pandemic. We are thrilled to celebrate their perseverance and spirit the best way we know how: free Original Glazed doughnuts.”
