SZA is getting candid about plastic surgery.
The “Kill Bill” singer recently sat down with Elle, where she confirmed she got her body done — something fans speculated since she popped out on the ‘gram late last year looking curvier than usual. When she dropped her sophomore project, SOS, she seemingly addressed the rumors in the album opener, rapping, “So classic, that ass so fat, it look natural, it’s not.”
Now, the artist is letting fans know there’s no cap in her rap, explaining, “I treat my butt like a purse,” she told the magazine. “It’s just there to enhance whatever else. And that’s why I paid for it, because it works all by itself.”
She went on to say the decision to get a BBL was hers alone.
“I always wanted a really fat ass with less gym time,” she explained. “I didn’t succumb to industry pressure. I succumbed to my own eyes in the mirror and being like, No, I need some more ass.”
Later on in her interview, she discussed enrolling Delaware State University with the intention of pursuing marine biology. However, after completing two semesters, her interest waned, and she eventually “flunked” out while exploring her passion for music. She also discussed dabbling in the fashion world, recounting a summer semester spent at FIT in New York City and an internship with the renowned clothing brand Billionaire Boys Club. She also shared an anecdote about being discovered by Top Dawg Entertainment, as the label president happened to overhear her captivating voice on a track, leading to her eventual signing.
