Ice Cube and Kanye West appear to have reached a reconciliation following the West Coast rapper’s denial of being a catalyst for the Yeezy CEO’s anti-Semitic comments.
On Friday, the two rappers exchanged smiles and embraced each other outside of Cube’s in Marina Del Rey residence. Before departing in his vehicle, West seemed to be in a positive state of mind. During the reunion, the “Yezzy” founder wore a black short-sleeved shirt, black trousers and black sock shoes.
Meanwhile, Cube wore a black hoodie, jeans, Nike sneakers, and his iconic LA Dodgers baseball cap.
Their encounter takes place following the infamous October 2022 incident when West made anti-Semitic remarks during his appearance on the “Drink Champs” podcast. In the now-removed episode, West asserted that Cube, had a significant impact on him, leading him to embrace an “anti-Semite vibe.”
However, shortly after the incident, the former N.W.A. rapper took to Twitter to refute those allegations.
“I hate that my name was dragged into this Drunk Champs bulls–t,” Cube tweeted. “I don’t know what Ye meant by his statements, you’re gonna have to ask him.”
He continued, “I didn’t put the batteries in his back. Please leave my name out of all the antisemitic talk. I’m not antisemitic and never have been.”
In December of that year, Cube reiterated his stance, emphasizing that he was not responsible for West’s comments.
“Like, homie. You gotta stand on this one on your own,” the actor said on an episode of “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson” show. “That’s all that was about. You know, I didn’t say nothin’. It’s just, at the end of the day, I just had to let everybody know that don’t blame me for s–t.”
