Apple introduces iOS 17, which includes various improvements and new features.
On Monday, Apple announced its new iOS feature that includes new safety options, a built-in journaling app, a new nightstand mode, redesigned contact cards, better auto-correct and voice transcription, and live voicemail.
Users’ contact book also receives an upgrade incorporating a fresh addition called “posters.” This feature transforms contact cards into captivating marquee-like visuals, which appear in full-screen mode on your recipient’s iPhone when you initiate a call.
Furthermore, a brand-new feature has been introduced for voicemail, known as live transcription. This functionality allows users to instantly view a real-time transcript of the message left by the caller. Users have the option to continue listening to the voicemail or answer the call. Additionally, users will now have the capability to leave a message on FaceTime.

iOS 17 also includes a new app called “Journal” that proposes significant moments for potential inclusion in your journal entries. With Journal, users can effortlessly document experiences by incorporating photos, music, and activities. Moreover, users have the option to set reminders to prompt themselves to begin writing. To ensure utmost privacy, Journal implements end-to-end encryption for all personal content.
AirDrop is receiving an update as well known as “NameDrop.” By simply bringing two iPhones close together or between an iPhone and an Apple Watch, users can share selected email addresses and phone numbers. Likewise, photos can be shared using the same convenient method. Additionally, for larger files, it is now possible to move out of range while the download continues without interruption.
Lastly, StandBy mode will be included in the charging setting. The features turn the screen into a date and time display showing information from Live Activities, widgets, and automatically turn on when your phone is in landscape mode while charging.
