Another member of Cali Swag District, the group behind the hip hop song ‘Teach Me How To Dougie’, has passed away. JayAre, born Cheron Childs, died yesterday due to complications with sickle cell anemia. He was only 25 years old.
According to fellow group member Smoove, JayAre was admitted to the hospital on Thursday after suffering a seizure in his mother’s home. He was rushed to the hospital where paramedics attempted to revive him repeatedly. He was stable until 5:15pm Friday, when he went into cardiac arrest and died.
“This was my everyday nigga I literally saw you or talked to you everyday bro and who would have known yesterday morning would have been my last time speaking to u …I can’t believe your gone I can’t believe we have to deal with this again …I jus can’t believe it ..your birthday is in 6 days ..I wish I could slow down time because I don’t think there will be any celebrating on the 12th I’m torn ..I’m confused …I’m hurt ..I’m lost…I’m …………..rest in peace my brother from another Cahron Shemar Childs ..I love you bro,” wrote Smoove, the remaining member of the rap trio. Cali Swag member M-Bone died in May 2011 after being the victim of a drive by shooting.Â
