Dionne Warwick cancels her Chicago concert due to medical issues.
The iconic vocalist decided to cancel her concert scheduled for June 24th at Rivers Casino Des Plaines near Chicago on Thursday, citing a health concern. However, she is actively seeking to arrange a new date for the performance.
According to reports, individuals holding tickets received an email from the venue on Thursday stating, “We regret to inform you that the Dionne Warwick performance on June 24, 2023, at Rivers Casino Des Plaines has been canceled due to a medical incident.”
A rep for Warwick later revealed that she had to halt the performance because of a minor problem with her leg.
“It’s a minor issue that has been fixed, and she is fine,” the rep said.
The venue has already provided refunds to all ticket buyers. However, TMZ mentioned that Warwick is optimistic about rescheduling the concert for a future date.
Earlier this year, Warwick shared that she was going back on tour. The dates for the shows included June 22 in Bridgeport, Conn., June 23 in Bensalem, Pa., Aug. 9 in Selbyville, Del., Aug. 11 in Gethsemane, Ky., September 1 in Ojai, California, and Sept. 2 in Beverly Hills, California.
