Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour in Sweden has allegedly resulted in record inflation across the country.

According to BBC News, the alleged “frenzy” caused May’s inflation to be 9.7 percent higher than predicted, with an increasing demand for hotels and restaurants.

In an email, Michael Grahn, an economist at Danske Bank, told BBC that the Lemonade singer greatly influenced the unanticipated rise in recreation and culture prices.

He said, “I wouldn’t … blame Beyoncé for [the] high inflation print, but her performance and global demand to see her perform in Sweden apparently added a little to it.”

Inflation in Sweden reached its highest level in December, according to data, at 12.3%. Although financial markets had anticipated 9.4 percent, the rate last month was down from 10.5 percent in April.

According to Grahn, this kind of influence from one star is “very rare.”

It has been rumored that Beyonce is set to net over $2 billion from her current world tour with ticket sales and merchandise.
