YK Osiris has faced significant criticism following an uncomfortable incident involving him and Sukihana. Once again, he is expressing remorse for his behavior.
On Saturday, the rapper took to his Instagram stories to issue an apology and tease what appears to be new music.
“I apologize to my family and my supporters. I continue to let you all down. I simply want to become a better person and focus on my purpose, which is music. I genuinely love all of you,” he wrote.
“Don’t worry, I have a gift for all of you, as I’ve been lacking commitment these past few years ❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽”
“I have lost everything: my sanity, my family, and my passion for music 🖼 I genuinely need help, I’m reaching out frantically 🙏🏾”
The “Worth It” artist extended his apology to Sukihana after videos surfaced showing him forcefully approaching her last week.
As she commentated on a basketball game, YK Osiris stood behind her, grabbing her head and forcibly kissing her on the mouth. Sukihana appeared both shocked and uncomfortable.
Numerous individuals condemned his actions, with some labeling it as sexual assault.
YK Osiris apologized, acknowledging that he “misread the moment.”
“I would like to publicly offer my sincerest apology to Sukihana. In an attempt to be playful, I misinterpreted the situation and violated Sukihana’s boundaries. I recognize the importance of consent, and I am deeply embarrassed by my behavior,” he stated on Instagram at that time.
