It looks like the relationship between Avril Lavigne and Tyga has come to an end.
On Tuesday, TMZ confirmed that the two ended their rap-rocker love affair. The short-lived romance was sparked back in February, though some sources said the two were just friends, while others insisted they were getting to know one another intimately. Nevertheless, Lavigne and Tyga were photographed several times, seemingly on dates, and appeared to be enjoying one another. The relationship came as a surprise, considering Lavigne’s engagement to musician Mod Sun. The two got engaged in March 2022. However, by 2023, things appeared to have soured. Sun’s team claimed he was blindsided by Lavigne dating Tyga, finding out they were an item with the rest of the world.
Lavigne and Tyga were spotted out during Paris Fashion Week. The blossoming couple didn’t mind the PDA, kissing at the Mugler X Hunter Schafer and holding hands during other outings. Separate insiders called the romance “very casual,” so it appears neither was ready to take things too seriously. Regardless, the “Rack City” rapper did make sure to bling out his new boo with a custom-made Mavani & Co. Jewelry necklace priced at $80,000.
In terms of the separation, a close pal confirmed it to E! News.
“They have broken up. They are still really good friends and have the utmost respect for each other, but it just really did not work out,” they revealed.
Tyga nor Lavigne have not made any statements about their sudden breakup, nor did they reveal details about their dating life when they were together these past three months.
