Meghan James is defending her actions after having Jhonni Blaze take a drug test during a recent episode of her podcast.
“Y’all are always quick to say something but never but y’all never know what goes on behind the scenes – girls Be SO FAKE and this is why I don’t do FAVORS! Johnni hmu 5,000 times asking me to interview her . & would also hit up mutual friends to ask if I would interview her,” James wrote on Instagram.
“So upon dropping her single with neyo she asked me AGAIN and I was like cool we can promo it on the podcast ! Johnni came up with the drug test IDEA HER SELF , bc she wanted to clear her name and she knew it would go viral if I asked if she was REALLY A CRACK HEAD, so I asked bc idc !!! IT WAS HER IDEA!!!!!!”
“I wasn’t being disrespectful or mean Johnni basically produced this entire segment !! Both of us were drunk and I had been on set 5 hours at that point ! So the fact that she’s playing victim is crsxy to me!!!! Swipe for receipts!!!!! She even hit up somebody bc she felt bad about the backlash bc IT WAS HER IDEA!!!! Lol. Like girl you weird.”
James was met with backlash earlier this week following Jhonni Blaze’s appearance on her podcast, ‘The Hollywood Group Chat.’ During their exchange, James brought up a comment Blaze’s ex had made about her being a “crackhead.” James then pulled out a drug test for Jhonni to take to “prove” she’s no longer using drugs.
Fans quickly called out the podcast host online for being “unprofessional,” among other things, which prompted her response.
Meanwhile, Blaze also took to social media with her own receipts, saying she didn’t mind taking the test, but James used that part as “clickbait,” which “backfired.”
