On August 5, Simone Biles will compete in the U.S. Classic, her first competition since the Olympics in Tokyo.
Biles is set to compete in the single-day competition at Hoffman Estates’ NOW Arena, USA Gymnastics said on Wednesday.
It is unclear if Biles intends to bid for the 2024 Olympics, and she has not publicly announced the date of her return to training.
In 2021, Biles decided to withdraw from several events to concentrate on her mental health.
The U.S. Classic is one of the major competitions on USA Gymnastics’ annual calendar and frequently acts as a prelude to the national championships.
