The plastic surgeon rumored to have operated on Jacky Oh is clearing his name after her death last month.
Dr. Zachary Okhah, who was pictured with the influencer on Instagram shortly before she died, is reassuring his patients that his practice is safe. In a video shared on his IG Wednesday, the PH-1 Miami clinic founder defended himself against the intense media coverage that has partially blamed him for Jacky’s death.
“Please understand that due to patient privacy laws and out of respect for all my patients, there will never be mention of specifics, now or in the future, of any of my cases,” Okhah shared.
Okhah consulted with Jacky for a “mommy makeover” and is presumably the one who performed the procedure. She was found unresponsive in her hotel room at Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell on May 31st. The 32-year-old was transported to a nearby hospital, where she sadly passed away. Details surrounding her death have not been released, but Okhah says his record as a surgeon has been impeccable, having performed 2,000 surgeries.
“Every procedure is always performed to the highest medical standard, and our safety protocols are diligently observed by my entire team,” he added.
Okhah also came under fire for releasing a statement two weeks after Jacky’s passing that made no mention of her. Several lawsuits have been uncovered where he took legal action against former patients who accused him of botching their surgeries.
Jacky’s family has not spoken out publicly about the surgeon.
