Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson‘s father is entering a rehab center owned by Lamar Odom to seek treatment for his dependence on prescription pills.
According to TMZ, Mike Thompson, popularly known as “Sugar Bear,” contacted the former NBA star over the weekend, expressing his need for assistance. As per the report, Sugar Bear developed an addiction to pills initially prescribed for his diabetes. Additionally, he is currently dealing with severe depression and anxiety.
Despite being estranged from Honey Boo Boo for over a year, sources revealed that Sugar Bear is aiming to reconcile after completing his treatment.
In other news, Sugar Bear underwent a remarkable cosmetic and dental transformation. The makeover, amounting to $66,800, was provided as a courtesy from Hollywood experts.
“I haven’t stopped looking in the mirror,” he said. “I don’t recognize the man in the mirror.” He also added, “I never thought I could have a smile I would be proud of. And I really love the Botox because I look a lot younger.”
As part of the new look, Sugar Bear underwent a hair transplant costing $30,000, which involved receiving “over 3,500 FUE grafts to restore the first half of his scalp.” Unfortunately, the former TLC personality has encountered difficulties lately, including a reported breakup with his most recent girlfriend last month.
