Atlanta Tattoo Artists Set A New Guinness World Record With Massive Takeoff Tribute Tattoo

Since the untimely passing of TakeOff, numerous individuals have expressed their deep respect and appreciation for him in various ways. However, a tattoo artist, accompanied by a group of his colleagues, has reached a new level of affection and admiration for the late Migos rapper.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, J.R. Outlaw, a tattoo artist, along with fellow artists from various Atlanta tattoo studios such as Atlanta Ink, Iron Palm Tattoos & Body Piercing, and Pèse Noir, embarked on a remarkable endeavor to pay tribute to the beloved Atlanta rapper. Using a massive 79-foot silicone skin canvas, they skillfully crafted a mural depicting Takeoff wearing a vibrant spacesuit adorned with shades of brown, orange, and green.

“I think Takeoff was just a big influence in the city and the culture of Atlanta, like in general,” Outlaw said. “It was really the whole group. They made a real lasting impact on the city, so we just wanted to do something to memorialize him, and that’s really what it was about.”

Recently, the monumental mural received prestigious recognition from the Guinness World Records due to its large size, solidifying its status as the largest tattoo artwork ever created.

Since his passing, Takeoff has been honored in many different ways. In April, Migos member Offset, unveiled his massive tattoo of his former bandmate on social media. Additionally, Offset and Quavo recently took the stage together at the 2023 BET Awards after having a long-standing feud prior to Takeoff’s death.

“We do that because we some real stars,” Offset said in an Instagram Live video. “We do that, we do this music. We the greatest group to ever touch the mic. RIP my brother Take. We did it for my brother Take.”
