G Herbo has found himself in a heap of trouble after being arrested for gun possession over the weekend.
The “No Guts, No Glory” rapper was picked up on Sunday in Chicago near North Wabash Avenue and East Ontario Street. Around 5:45 p.m., when police arrived at the scene, they located a gun. It’s unclear what prompted authorities to respond to the location, but either way, it ended with the star in cuffs.
G-Herbo was booked on one count of misdemeanor unlawful use of a weapon in a public place. He has since been released on bond with a court date in the near future. This is the latest legal setback in Herb’s life. The rapper has been fighting a million-dollar fraud case, which alleges that he and four co-defendants utilized stolen credit cards and fraudulent identification methods to fund lavish goods and services in a scheme that supposedly ran from March 2016 until December 2020. Their purchases included private jets, luxury car services, and other factors associated with a wealthy lifestyle. In April, it was reported that he was in talks of a plea agreement with prosecutors that would guarantee him no prison time.
The 27-year-old previously pleaded not guilty and was released on a $75,000 bond in December 2020 for his scamming allegations. It’s unclear if his latest arrest will have any effect on his pending deal with federal prosecutors. He has not commented publicly on his latest arrest.
