McDonald’s has introduced a delightful new treat that will bring joy to both Oreo and pie lovers.
The cookies & crème pie is McDonald’s newest dessert innovation. This delectable treat combines chocolate sandwich cookie pieces, creamy vanilla crème filling, and a chocolate cookie crumb crust. According to McDonald’s USA, the handheld snack will be a regional item and will be available for a limited time starting Friday in select areas such as Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, and New York.
The announcement about the cookies & crème pie comes just days after McDonald’s revealed its decision to discontinue the McCafé Bakery line. The three items in that category, namely the Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin, and Cinnamon Roll, are scheduled to be removed from the menu later this month.
“But fans can still satisfy their sweet tooth with our iconic Chocolate Chip Cookies, Baked Apple Pie and frozen desserts at restaurants nationwide,” the spokesperson from the company said.
For those individuals who enjoy combining Oreos with soft-serve, McDonald’s will continue to offer its popular Oreo McFlurry. Furthermore, McDonald’s has also recently introduced new menu items to add some excitement. On Monday, they unveiled the cheesy jalapeño bacon quarter pounder, which adds a spicy twist to their lineup. Additionally, on Wednesday, the brand introduced the cheesy jalapeño sausage egg McMuffin to their breakfast menu in specific markets.
