G Herbo could spend some time in the slammer after pleading guilty in his million-dollar fraud case.
The Chicago superstar entered his plea on Wednesday in Massachusetts, admitting to participating in federal wire fraud, identity theft, and lying to investigators. Prosecutors say Herbo and his co-conspirators used other people’s identities and credit cards to sponsor their lavish lifestyles. Herbo admitted to using a portion of the funds to pay for a villa in Jamaica, private jets, and exotic vehicles and helped one of his fellow scammers purchase a puppy with the illegitimate proceeds. In total, the six people in the fraud ring spent about $1.5 million between March 2016 and December 2020.

Though the charges carry up to 20 years in prison, the 27-year-old may be getting a much lighter sentence. Herbo is expected to receive up to three years in prison when he is sentenced on July 27th. Whatever prison term he receives, the “PTSD” rapper is still on the hook for $140,000 in restitution to victims who had their identities stolen.
With this case wrapping up, Herbo has a new set of legal troubles. On July 9th, he was arrested once again for misdemeanor unlawful use of a weapon in a public place after police located a Glock 33 in his vehicle. He bonded out shortly after and must appear in court at a later date. In 2018, he faced a similar gun possession charge, though that arrest landed him a felony. The following year, he was in hot water with the police once again after an altercation with his son’s mother, Ari Fletcher.
