Georgia prosecutors are looking to send rapper Quando Rondo back to jail after he crashed a car while out on bond.
The Associated Press reports that the 24-year-old, real name Tyquian Terrel Bowman, crashed his car at a high rate of speed on Wednesday in Chatham County. When first responders arrived at the scene, they “administered Narcan as he was exhibiting signs of an overdose.”
According to court records, a condition of Quando Rondo’s bond was to refrain from using illegal drugs. Experiencing signs of an overdose imply that he violated the terms of his bond.
A hearing is scheduled for Thursday to review the rapper’s bond. Prosecutors have obtained a subpoena for Quando Rondo’s medical records, including toxicology reports, stemming from the crash.
The rapper’s attorney, Kimberly Copeland, declined to comment on the case. However, prosecutors say that additional charges resulting from the car wreck are pending.
Quando Rondo was indicted alongside 18 other people last month and charged with gang and drug-related charges. He was released on June 26 after posting a $100,000 bond.
