Kenya Moore Defends Herself After Ex-husband Demands She Be Found in Contempt Over ‘RHOA’ Fight

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore argued against her ex-husband’s demands that she be found at fault for an argument that transpired while their 4-year-old was near.

Moore’s ex-husband, Marc Daly, says she violated a court order when she allowed their daughter Brooklyn to be near an argument during the filming of the Bravo show, court documents obtained by Radar Online detailed. 

Earlier this month, the outlet reported that Daly demanded that his estranged wife, who has primary custody of their four-year-old, be found in contempt of court. 

Before the alleged violation, Daly argued that his daughter didn’t need to appear on the show. However, Moore said it was a requirement that she shared all aspects of her life, which included her family matters, the outlet reported.

Daly lost that battle in court, but a judge did order Moore to inform her ex when their child would film.

However, after an episode that aired earlier this month, Daly filed a motion for contempt. In the filing, Daly said Moore failed to inform him of a film session and claimed their daughter was around when Moore’s co-star Marlo Hampton attempted to kick down Moore’s hotel room while Brooklyn slept inside. 

The incident was captured on the reality Bravo show.

But now, Moore is arguing back, saying her ex-husband knew of the filming mentioned in his motion. She also addressed the confrontation with Marlo.

Moore said Brooklyn was “never seen on camera, and she wasn’t aware of the situation involving Marlo at the hotel that evening in question.”

She then furthered the argument against Daly, calling him out for his lack of parenting. 

“The evidence will show that Father is simply a “FaceTime” father who is inconsistent with even talking to his child at best. He doesn’t visit her, makes a promise to her that he does not keep, and continues to disrupt the normalcy that Mother has strived so very hard to provide for the minor child,” the motion read.

“For example, Mother planned (with Father’s consent) a trip to Disneyland, and Father committed to coming, causing Mother to pay for the costs of travel for him and the child and the cost of lodging for everyone. Father, after committing to show, failed to show up, disappointing the child who was excited with anticipation of seeing him, and costing [Moore] thousands of dollars,” Moore’s lawyer continued.

Moore said she should not be held in contempt, and Daly should cover her legal fees.
