The husband of a Georgia mother of four that had been missing since last month has been arrested in connection with her murder, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.
Donell Anderson was taken into custody by a SWAT team on Friday night at an apartment in Atlanta. He was charged with murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm.
Imani Roberson, 29, was last seen on July 16 in Conyer’s after leaving her mother’s house with two of her children. Two of the other children decided to spend the night with their grandmother.
Her mother, Clarine Andujar-White, went to the house the following day after she had not heard from Roberson. After being unable to locate her daughter, she filed a missing persons report.
Roberson’s car was found burned up in a wooded area on July 27. The family provided Ring camera footage from a neighbor to news outlets that showed the vehicle pulling out of the driveway at a high rate of speed.
Cadaver dogs located a body matching Roberson’s description on Friday. The location of where the body was found was not made public.
Throughout the course of the investigation, police received information that pointed to Anderson as a prime suspect. During a press conference, police said that it’s likely that there is another suspect.
“This investigation is still ongoing, and I can assure you that another arrest will be made,” Sheriff Eric Levett said at the news conference.
All four children are currently safe.
Police are asking anyone with information about the case to come forward.
