Tekashi 6ix9ine and his colorful lace front can’t seem to stay out of trouble.
The “GOOBA” rapper has landed himself behind bars on a failure to appear charge. The arrest went down on Wednesday in Florida, though he has since been released after posting a $2,000 bond. The New York internet personality has remained quiet on his latest legal matter, though some outlets have alluded to it being in connection to his viral gym beatdown.
Four months ago, the ex-gang member turned witness was savagely battered in the bathroom of a Florida L.A. Fitness. After the beatdown by his attackers, Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, checked himself into the hospital for cuts and injuries to his ribs, back, and jaw. A photo that surfaced of him in the hospital showed his bruised face and red eyes after the assault. Suspects Rafael Medina Jr., Anthony Maldonado, and Octavious Medina have since been charged in relation to the incident.
Tekashi has been focused on making a musical comeback in recent months. He has dropped several singles, including “Pa Ti” and the controversial “Shaka Laka” featuring Kodak Black, which sparked debate about whether or not the “Super Gremlin” rapper should have worked with the embattled New York performer. Nevertheless, their visual for the record has attracted over 24 million views on Youtube, a sign that Tekashi may be back on the road to regaining his international stardom. Only time will tell, but it’s clear this latest arrest is not a big deal to the rainbow-clad MC.
