Kandi Burruss is sick of the people questioning her about Phaedra Parks.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star hosted her latest episode of “Speak On It,” where the topic of her former friend came up. Her co-host Jay shared that some people believed Burruss owed the lawyer a conversation after their on-screen fallout years ago, a notion that Burruss quickly shot down.
“I don’t owe her s***,” the Xscape singer expressed.
If you recall, during season nine of RHOA, Parks concocted a tale that Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, had intended to drug and sexually assault former cast member Porsha Williams. Initially, Burruss was unsure where the rumor originated from. However, the truth came out during the reunion after Williams revealed that Parks had relayed the salacious gossip to her. Burruss feels that such accusations have followed her and could have potentially damaged her career and business dealings, even though they were proven false.
Burruss also addressed forgiving Williams and not Parks. During season nine, Williams continuously brought up the story but would not say who told her until their reunion confrontation. Burruss pointed out that Williams apologized and repaired their relationship over the years. Parks acknowledged spreading the narrative but has yet to apologize. Aside from that, Burruss also accused Parks of blocking her liquor license for one of her restaurants via her city connections. Still, the Kandi Koated Nights founder is unbothered by Parks’ subtle return to Bravo.
“I’m happy that she’s on television. I’m happy she’s doing her thing. I just don’t wanna do it together,” Burruss stated firmly.
