Bengals star Ja’Marr Chase has been granted a restraining order against a woman he says hasn’t left him or his family alone ever since he slept with her two years ago.
The alleged harasser, Ambar Hunter, has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the football player and his mom.
TMZ reported that Chase filed for a temporary restraining order against Hunter on Tuesday in a Los Angeles County courthouse. The wide receiver alleged that Hunter has subjected him and his family to a campaign of harassment ever since their single night of romance in 2021.
Chase claims Hunter has posted false claims on social media about him being a deadbeat dad to a child he says neither of them are parents to. The NFL star further points out that the woman deliberately posts pictures of someone else’s child to create a false impression of them having a child together. Ja’Marr further notes that she has consistently avoided undergoing a DNA test for the alleged child.
Additionally, Ja’Marr accuses Ambar of fabricating a narrative where she presents herself as a victim of domestic violence. He asserts that law enforcement agencies have not deemed her claims to be credible.
The woman’s most recent online attack allegedly dates back to this July when she shared his mother’s personal cell phone numbers on Instagram, which led to dozens of harassing calls and text messages.
A hearing on whether the temporary restraining order will become permanent has been set for Sept. 7.
