Hurricane Hillary swept through Baja, Mexico, causing floods and leaving one dead.The storm made landfall in the town of Santa Rosalia, flooding streets and damaging or destroying property in its path, TMZ reported.
Fortunately, the storm has lost much of its intensity and has become a category 1 Hurricane. It’s expected to lessen to a category 4 storm by the time it hits California, which is expected Sunday.
A tropical storm warning is still in effect for millions of residents in SoCal, and there’s fear it will cause flash flooding, as well as landslides.
Some areas of California are expected to get more rain in a day than they usually get in a year, including Palm Springs.
