DJ Khaled Talks Beyoncé And The Keys To Success – blogged by @MsJennyb

DJ Khaled has been on the scene for years, but recently his value skyrocketed due to his popularity via snapchat. The motivational snapchatter announced last month that he’d be joining Beyonce’s Formation World Tour, attending as the tour’s DJ. While Khaled is widely successful as a producer, record-label executive, DJ and radio host, he still manages to get a little shy around the Queen Bey.

“I’m very quiet. Every time I’ve ever seen her is when I’m with my brother Jay Z, and I just say, “Hi,” and I look the other way so fast, and I kind of run,” he said. “I just don’t want to say nothing too much. I’m not messing that up.”

The Miami native’s snapchat mantra, which also the title of his upcoming album, is major key, when referring to the keys of success. The “number one key is God. That’s the master key,” he tells NY Times. He continued, “another key is never give up, never quit, never surrender, and give thanks to life at all times.”

Ana Marie Cox responded, “Now, you realize that three of those are almost exactly the same, right?” And Khaled dropped jewels. “It’s not: giving up is when you’re thinking about giving up. Quitting is quitting. Never surrendering means you got to fight everything to make sure you don’t fall for none of them jive artists.”

If you aren’t following the snapchat connoisseur, congratulations, you played yourself!
