Spice has something to say after being called a “monkey” by Erica Mena during their nasty “Love & Hip-Hop” spat.
The clip of the two ladies arguing has taken the internet by storm, and people have quite a bit to say. In the scene, which was captured by the “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” cameras, the two women bickered, with the dancehall star slamming Mena over her relationship with her eldest son, King Conde. Allegedly, the child is not fond of his famous mother, and Spice speaking on it sent Mena flipping a table at her and wishing death upon the singer. In a fit of rage, Mena also called Spice a “blue monkey,” which is often used as a slur towards dark-skinned Black people. Despite the remark, Spice is unphased by it all.
“I know what I signed up for, so I’m good, you know? I’m in a better space right now,” she explained to Forbes, adding, “It comes with it. You know what the franchise is about.”
While Spice is able to brush off the comments and maintain her “peace of mind,” many viewers are accusing Mena of having a sketchy history of racism and colorism. Some have even accused the longruning “LHH” star of using “monkey” in past disagreements with Black women.
As if this backlash was not enough, Mena was called out by Saucy Santana days ago for being “belligerent,” sparking the Atlanta lounge incident that landed her, Bambi, and Zell Swag behind bars. She has since been released from jail, along with her “Love & Hip-Hop” co-stars.
Though the outspoken influencer is not one to hold her tongue for very long, Mena has not yet commented on her arrest or the most recent round of outrage.
