A Georgia judge has ordered Ne-Yo and Sade Bagnerise to meet face-to-face on September 22 for mediation as their legal battle continues.

In June, Bagnerise sought primary custody and monthly child support for their two young children, Braiden and Brixton, in response to Ne-Yo (Shaffer Smith) filing a paternity and child support lawsuit.

Earlier, Ne-Yo had requested a court-ordered DNA test for their youngest child to establish paternity, expressing his belief that he is the biological father of both children.

Additionally, he requested a legal name change for Braiden to Smith, joint physical and legal custody, and child support.  In response, Bagnerise filed a countersuit, asking for primary physical custody, joint legal custody, and specific visitation arrangements.

Regarding child support, Bagnerise requested both temporary and ongoing payments, as well as reimbursement for a reasonable share of any expenses related to the minor children, such as medical, educational, extracurricular, and insurance costs.

She noted, “[Ne-Yo] is the biological father of the parties’ minor children.”

The two will now be able to resolve their disputes through a mediation session scheduled for this month.  The document emphasizes that “the appearance and participation of all parties is required at the scheduled mediation session.”
