Michael Irvin made a triumphant return to NFL Network’s “NFL Gameday Morning” following the settlement of his $100 million defamation lawsuit against Marriott.

During the show, he expressed joy at returning to his analyst role, saying, “It’s good to be here.”

The news follows Irvin’s suspension in February; he was accused of misconduct with a Marriott employee during Super Bowl week in Phoenix.

The Marriott employee, referred to as Jane Doe in the court documents, claimed that Irvin had approached her near the hotel’s bar, complimented her appearance, and proceeded to ask  “whether she knew anything about having a ‘big Black man inside of [her].'”

Irvin denied the allegations and sued Marriott, claiming they falsely accused him and caused significant financial losses.  He and his attorney, Levi McCathern, released video evidence showing a brief and harmless conversation.

The Dallas Morning News reported that a settlement was reached between the parties, allowing Irvin to return to the NFL Network.  The specific terms of the settlement were not publicly disclosed.

A spokesperson for the NFL Network stated, “Michael Irvin has been reinstated and will be a part of NFL Network’s coverage of the 2023 season.”
