A new mugshot for Tory Lanez surfaced online Wednesday as the rapper’s been transferred to state prison to begin his sentence for shooting Megan thee Stallion.
On Tuesday, Lanez officially checked into North Kern State Prison, about 145 miles from Los Angeles.
According to Legal Affairs and Trials reporter Meghann Cuniff, this medium-security facility serves as a reception center for new inmates within the California state prison system. Lanez is expected to stay there for several months before being assigned a permanent location.
Last month, Lanez was handed down a 10-year sentence for charges related to negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm.
