Britney Spears sparked so much concern with her knives video that police visited her home for a welfare check.
By now, we’re all used to the “Gimme More” star sharing her dance videos. However, in one of the latest clips, Spears jigged rapidly around her living room while holding two sharp knives. In the caption, Spears wrote, “I started playing in the kitchen with knives today!!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon.” Though she downplayed the incident, people who saw the video weren’t taking any chances.

TMZ reports that the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department arrived at Spears’ home Wednesday and was able to speak with the singer. Several individuals had reported her video and showed it to the authorities. However, they determined the 41-year-old was okay and left the property.
In a separate home performance video that followed the knife clip, it appeared that Spears had a bandage on her arm, leading some to believe she may have cut herself. Throughout the years, there have been countless reports of Spears suffering from severe mental issues, such as bipolar and depression. She did spend time in an inpatient facility in the early 2000s after her infamous breakdown. Therefore, there has been continued concern over her well-being. Since she was removed from her conservatorship in 2021, fans and insiders have wondered whether or not it was the right decision.
Nevertheless, it seems Spears is much more free and at peace. The knives were simply props for her weekly Instagram routine.
