Offset is clearing the air about his online feud with Kenneth Petty and his posse of goons.
The Migos star stopped by The Breakfast Club to promote his forthcoming album, “Set It Off.” While there, he was asked whether or not the police called him to take a statement about Petty and his friends threatening him.
“Man, hell naw. Police ain’t never calling me. I ain’t got no number for you,” Offset joked.
While he was not interested in Petty getting in trouble with the law, Offset said he was bothered by the men inserting themselves into the beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, particularly them calling Cardi out of her name. If you recall, Offset messaged one of Petty’s friends about disrespecting the “Bongos” star, though he never intended to involve himself in the women’s problems. Petty and company then proceeded to go live on Instagram while allegedly posted up in Cardi’s New York “hood.” Still, Offset felt that the Petty situation was a “joke.”
The viral situation resulted in Petty being sentenced to three months of house arrest. His being seen online threatening to harm Offset was a violation of his three-year probation. He had previously been ordered to serve probation for failing to register as a sex offender when he and Minaj moved to Los Angeles in 2019. Petty had five days to register but did not do so.
Minaj has not responded to Offset’s latest interview, but judging by the longstanding beef with his wife, we might hear her thoughts on the matter soon.
