Offset is opening up about his repaired relationship with Quavo, after their falling out.Â
During his appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Offset revealed to Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy that it was Pharrell Williams who convinced him to reunite with Quavo at the 2023 BET Awards. Offset admitted that he was initially on the fence about them performing a tribute to Takeoff. However, during his time at Paris Fashion Week, the talk with Williams changed his mind.
“He was like ‘naw, you gotta do that for the world and for him and ya’ll legacy,'” Offset shared of that intimate conversation. Williams also told the “Jealousy” star, “‘Even if it’s for the last time… it’s gonna be a cleanser for both of ya’ll.'”
Days ago, Offset told the hosts of “Ebro In The Morning” that there could never be another Migos album without Takeoff, who was killed in November 2022. However, during Wednesday’s chat with “The Breakfast Club,” he hinted that the two may record together as solo artists, as they are much more communicative these days. He expressed that they often speak, especially about the death of their group member.
Their relationship today is a far cry from where they were months ago. Quavo and Offset were not speaking for much of last year after Offset confirmed he’d left Migos and QC. The two nearly fought backstage at the Grammy’s in February 2023. In a viral video shared online, Cardi B can be heard yelling at them to stop the drama.
Despite mending their brotherhood, Offset says their reconciliation is not “for the public,” preferring to heal offline.
