Cam Newton is determined to recover his luxury car from his ex-girlfriend, Kia Proctor.
RadarOnline obtained court documents showing that the former NFL star hired a process server to locate his ex on August 30.
According to reports, a process server visited an Atlanta residence and asked for Kia, Cam Newton’s ex. Although she initially denied her identity, Cam maintained that she was served correctly. Cam had previously sued Proctor, the mother of his four children, concerning a 2017 Bentley.
Cam and Kia were together from 2013 to 2019. Cam’s relationship with Instagram model La Reina Shaw reportedly began around the time of their breakup, and they later had children together.
The lawsuit stated that he had permitted Kia to use his 2017 Bentley Bentayga during their relationship.
“Although the relationship has ended, [Kia] remains in possession of the Car and refuses to return the car” to Cam, the suit read.
Cam claimed he bought the car in his name on May 23, 2018, and allowed Kia to use it with the agreement that it would be returned if they broke up.
“In 2019, the relationship ended, and [Kia] moved out of [Newton’s] residence,” the lawsuit explained.
“As part of the moveout process, [Cam] allowed [Kia] to use the Car to move her things out of [Cam’s] residence with the understanding that the Car would be promptly returned,” the suit read. “[Kia] never returned the vehicle to [Cam] after she moved out of [Cam’s] residence.”
Cam has repeatedly asked for the car keys, but Kia has ignored his requests several times.
“[Kia] stubbornly refuses to recognize [Cam’s] ownership of, and right to possess the Car,” the suit stated.
The former NFL player requests the court’s assistance in retrieving his Bentley.
