Troy Aikman has been to six pro bowls and won MVP for America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys. However, the most notable thing outside of his football career and prominent on-air commentary is his frequent comparison to Jay-Z.
Yes, Shawn Carter. Aikman is constantly going viral for sharing a striking resemblance to the rapper.
During the Monday Night Football telecast yesterday, Aikman acknowledged the viral memes about him and his brother from another mother.
“Yeah there’s a meme that’s going around, people think it’s my Doppelganger. Me and Jay Z how about that?”
Long-time booth partner Joe Bunk reaffirmed he could see the resemblance, too.

Earlier this month, during his appearance on PTI, the former QB was asked by Pablo Torre about the viral memes, to which he confirmed that he was indeed fully aware of it.
“Yes, I am aware of that. A white Jay Z, there was a meme that still pops up on my feed from time to time.” He says he couldn’t tell if the meme one was real or if it was edited, which made the whole encounter even more hilarious.
