On Wednesday, federal authorities announced that DJ Envy‘s ex-business partner, Cesar Pina, was arrested in connection with his alleged involvement in a multimillion-dollar real estate fraud scheme.

The following day, reports emerged indicating that federal authorities had raided the iHeart offices in Manhattan, where the Breakfast Club operates, and seized electronic equipment for the investigation.

However, on Friday, TMZ reported that law enforcement sources informed them that the claims of the iHeartRadio offices being raided were false.

Envy’s attorney, Massimo D’Angelo, told TMZ that these reports exemplify the “continued sensationalization” within the media, which seeks to associate DJ Envy with this narrative. He strongly maintains that Envy is a victim, not a perpetrator, in the alleged fraud case.

The outlets also reported that an iHeart source also confirmed that a raid did not occur, and officials were at the offices allegedly to inform Envy that Pina had been arrested.

Pina was taken into police custody earlier this week and was charged with a single count of wire fraud. He pleaded not guilty before being granted release on a $1 million bond. As part of his release conditions, he is confined to the state of New Jersey and subject to electronic monitoring.

DJ Envy has not been charged with any crime and has maintained his innocence, even asserting that he’s $500,000 of his own fund dealing with Pina.
