The Destiny’s Child reunion rumor is put to rest…once again.
During a recent interview with The Messenger, Kelly Rowland, one of the founding members of the group, discussed the potential for a reunion.
“[With] Bey wrapping up Renaissance and getting ready for her movie, Michelle in the thick of her solo project that she’s doing, and me in my solo space and all the things that I’m doing, that’s where my head is,” Rowland explained.
However, the “Motivation” singer did recognize that there is a significant buzz surrounding Destiny’s Child at the moment but says she’s mainly focused on her own projects at the moment.
“That’s where my heart is,” she added. “That’s what I’m most excited about, with all due respect to Destiny’s Child. And should there be a space for that, we’ll see what happens. But as for right now, I’m so excited as to what I’m doing.”
Despite Rowland denying the rumors, fans remain skeptical, especially after host Terrell Grice announced that the grand finale of season six of his show has been prolonged to a full week, featuring four out of the five Destiny’s Child members. Outtakes from Michelle Williams’ episode are set to be broadcast on Monday (Nov. 6), followed by LeToya Luckett’s episode airing on Tuesday (Nov. 7). LaTavia Roberson’s episode premiers on Wednesday (Nov. 8), and Rowland’s episode, which will conclude the nostalgic week, debuting on Thursday (Nov. 9). Consequently, fans are now regarding this as an unofficial Destiny’s Child reunion and are expressing their desire for Beyoncé to make an appearance on The Terrell Show next.
