Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg suffered a serious leg injury, a torn ACL.
“Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it,” the Facebook co-founder posted to Instagram on Friday.
He also posted several photos of himself in a hospital bed and appears to be doing well following his procedure.
“Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me. I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that’s delayed a bit,” he added.
In one photo, Zuckerberg was lying down in a hospital bed with his left leg bandaged and wrapped in a cast while he held up his left fist.
He picked up MMA as a hobby during the COVID-19 pandemic and has been training for some time now. As for the injury, well, the CEO said: “Still looking forward to doing it after I recover. Thanks to everyone for the love and support.”
