Soulja Boy has issued an apology to rapper J. Cole shortly after dragging him over his recent interview with Lil Yachty.Â
The chaos unfolded days ago when Cole joined Yachty for a chat, where he expounded on his past feelings towards Soulja and the “Crank Dat” era. As Cole explained during Yachty’s “A Safe Place” podcast, he initially had “resistance” to Soulja’s music because of its context compared to his own music. Now, Cole recognizes that Soulja’s songs were indeed classics. Even with Cole acknowledging that he was wrong about the entertainer, Soulja unleashed on Twitter Monday evening, dragging the MC. In one tweet, Soulja wrote, “N****z will slap the s**t out you, f**k your opinion dirty stank dreads having a** b***h,” ending the tweet by @’ing Cole. However, after going live on Instagram with Nicki Minaj, Soulja had a change of heart.Â

Minaj encouraged him to apologize to their fellow rapper. She even took up for Cole, claiming that Soulja took his comments out of context. Minaj also noted that she has had to say sorry for overreacting to certain remarks about her in the past.
“Alright, J. Cole. Nicki saved you, bro,” Soulja said on the livestream, adding, “My bad fam.” Over on Twitter, Soulja doubled down on the apology, penning a lengthy tweet to Cole for his online outburst.Â
“My bad dawg. @JColeNC, sorry for the confusion. Keep doing your s**t. We from two different worlds. I stand on what I stand on. It’s hard coming from where I did, man. I dealt with a lot of hate my whole career, so it was just messed to think it would come from you,” he wrote.Â

Cole hasn’t responded to this wild series of events, though it’s likely we won’t hear a peep from him on the matter. Nevertheless, its nice to see Soulja experience a swift moment of growth, orchestrated by the Queen herself.
