Omarion shares his perspective on extending forgiveness to Lil Fizz in light of the betrayal involving Apryl Jones.
In an interview on The Jason Lee Show, the R&B singer delved into topics such as polyamory, his children, and the journey of forgiving his former bandmate for being involved with his ex-girlfriend.
“That was one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to do in my life, up to date,” Omarion began. “I had to ask myself some real important questions, and one of those questions was, ‘Well, what was it really about for you, O?’ Not what is it about for everybody else, what is everybody thinking when you do this? It’s like, ‘No, what is this about for you?’”
He continued, “I’ve always been a very observant and sound-of-mind person. I know when people tryna come with that bullsh*t. I could smell it before it even gets here. At the end of the day, I’m always gonna honor what’s best for me and my family. Even though people went out of their way to do certain things, I feel like I still got white on. I got no blemishes because I stood true to who I am.”
Fizz and Jones started dating shortly after the Millennium Tour concluded in 2019. As the year progressed, the situation escalated with Jones publicly taking jabs at Omarion while promoting her romance with Fizz. Eventually, Fizz and Jones parted ways at the beginning of 2020.
While B2K was performing on the Millennium Tour in 2021, Lil Fizz paused the show to publicly apologize to Omarion for the previous issues. Omarion graciously accepted the apology, expressing that everything was fine between them, and the show continued as scheduled.
“I did some f*cked up sh*t to my brother,” Fizz said. “I did some snake-a** sh*t, and I’m not proud of it. So, I want to sit here humbly and sincerely apologize to you for any turmoil or dysfunction I caused between you and your family.”
